Patterns.

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These terms govern your use of the Patterns app and the patternsjournal.app website, operated by Kulphy Labs LLC. By using Patterns, you agree to them.

What Patterns is — and is not

Patterns is a self-reflection tool. It transcribes and summarizes what you choose to record, and over time surfaces patterns in your own words. It is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or a substitute for any of those. Its reflections are generated by AI and can be imperfect, incomplete, or wrong. Nothing in the app is advice — medical, psychological, legal, or otherwise.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please do not rely on an app. In the US, call or text 988. Elsewhere, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line near you.

Your content

What you record is yours. You retain all rights to your recordings, transcripts, and anything generated from them. You grant us only the narrow, temporary license needed to process your audio and text through our transcription and analysis providers and return the results to you. We claim no other rights to your words.

Acceptable use

Don't use Patterns to break the law, to harm others, to probe or disrupt our systems, or to attempt to extract other people's data. We may suspend access that abuses the service or burdens it in ways that affect other users.

Cost

Patterns is currently free. If we introduce paid features, pricing and terms will be shown clearly in the app before you are charged, and these terms will be updated.

Availability

We work to keep Patterns available and your experience smooth, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time. Because your entries live on your device, losing your device or deleting the app means losing your entries — please keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kulphy Labs LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Patterns. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, while Patterns is free, is zero.

Privacy

How we handle data is described in our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change meaningfully affects your rights, we will say so in the app or on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use Patterns after a change means you accept it.
